Acta Acustica united with Acustica is one of the leading international
journals on acoustics. The journal is published together with the European
Acoustics Association (EAA), representing 29 Acoustical Societies
throughout Europe, with more than 9.000 individual members.
Acta Acustica united with Acustica publishes original articles on all
subjects in the field of acoustics, such as general linear acoustics,
nonlinear acoustics, flow acoustics, atmospheric sound, underwater sound,
ultrasonics, medical applications, physical acoustics, structural
acoustics, noise control, active control, environmental noise,
architectural acoustics, acoustic materials, acoustic signal processing,
computational acoustics, physiological and psychophysical acoustics, speech
technology, musical acoustics, measurement and instrumentation,
electroacoustics, standardization.
High scientific quality is maintained by a system of referees. The
preferred language is English, though French and German articles with
English abstracts are accepted as well. The journal also publishes book
reviews, congress reports, upcoming events, news from standards, and news
from the member societies.
Acta Acustica united with Acustica is published bimonthly. Every issue
includes a CD-ROM with the contents of the current issue, and with Nuntius
Acusticus, the “acoustics messenger" of the European Acoustics Association:
News and information on new products, instrumentation or materials, on EU
activities, on noise control policy, education in acoustics, education and
research guides, news from the Technical Committees. The CD is not sold
separately.
